Here's a 2000 year old gold animal in the Historical museum of Xian. It reminds of the Scythian art from the same time exhibited in the Ermitage, Russia. Coincidence? In Xian, I also visited the Wild Goose Pagoda and its adjacent Buddhist cave with fluorescent Lohans painted on the wall.
