Eva Forsbom: Dynamic text-specific thesauri for information access

In the seminar I will present a method for building dynamic
text-specific thesauri for three subtasks in an information system:
indexing, navigation, and summarisation. The thesauri are dynamic in
that they are created during indexing from a number of knowledge
bases, and text-specific because only meanings signalled by the text
are activated.

How well the system works is largely dependent on what knowledge bases
are being used, and I will give examples of a number of possible
knowledge bases for Swedish. Furthermore, I will touch on the subject
of how to evaluate the system.
